Demi Chef De Partie – Pastry The incumbent in this position is responsible for preparing, presenting, storing and serving a selection of dishes

Key Responsibilities: 

• Help to direct, control and co-ordinate the activities of all Chefs and kitchen attendants, engaged in preparing and cooking food, so as to ensure an efficient, profitable and smooth food service, at all times.
• Inspect storerooms, refrigerators and freezers daily, to prevent wastage.
• In absence of Manager, conduct shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known. 
• Bake and prepare and serve dishes according to the restaurant’s menu.
• Provide direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Commis, Cooks, Kitchen Attendants and Stewards.
• Clean and re-set their working area.  
• Conducting on the job training in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures and maintaining a record of progress for each staff member.
• Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.
