We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic personnel to join our team. The role requires a generalist to provide an excellent HR experience to the hotel. The person in this role is responsible for supporting the Human Resources department in all administrative and other assigned areas.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Correspondence is handled in a timely and professional manner and interviews are set up on behalf of management. 
  • CVs are distributed to Heads of Department and followed-up on.
  • All vacancies are posted and followed up
  • The hotel recruitment website is up-to-date and well maintained.
  • All new joiners are personally welcomed, and necessary paperwork completed in an organised and efficient manner.
  • New joiner starting dates are communicated and coordinated with the respective HODs.
  • Every employee has a complete employee file.
  • Employee and payroll data is maintained in systems.
  • Vacation and sick leave are tracked.
  • Performance Reviews are tracked
  • The employee locker rooms, and cafeteria are looked after.
  • Employees are welcomed to the Human Resources office in a warm and friendly manner.Every leaver receives an exit interview.
  • Every leaver gets an appropriate exit procedure with employment licenses properly terminated.
  • Be the first point of contact for managers and employees for any HR-related queries.
  • Work permits: new and renewals.
  • Assisting employees in the submission of work permits through ID Malta Online Platform.
  • Onboarding: drafting contracts, jobs plus submission, Fs4 and for newly relocated     employees, social security, and tax number applications.
  • Offboarding admin such as Jobs plus and liaising with payroll.
  • Shireburn Indigo Software: update new employee profiles, update any changes such salary and tax profile, carry out the end of year changes.
  • Keeping up to date with local employment laws and advise accordingly.
  • Disciplinarily and employee relations.
  • Drafting statements and declarations as required for employees.
  • To keep up to date online databases and physical files.
  • Make sure that required licenses are up to date such as food handling licenses.
  • Keep a strong loop of communication between different departments, especially payroll.
  • Assist in projects as directed by management.
