Regional Office Middle East & Africa Located in the very popular area of Jumeirah Lake Towers in Dubai, and overseeing the activity of Kempinski Hotels in the MEA Region.

Internal Audit Manager, Middle East & Africa

The Internal Audit Department is responsible for evaluating and improving the processes and internal control systems for all the hotels and Corporate Offices within the Kempinski group. The Internal Audit Manager MEA assists the hotels in the region to create a strong controls environment which will then minimize the risk of fraud, financial irregularities and any other misconduct to safeguard company interests and the hotel owners’ assets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting Internal Audits / Reviews and desktop audits
  • Conducting Balance Sheet Reviews
  • Assisting to develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures in accordance with local and international guidelines
  • Training and guiding hotels on Policies and Procedures
  • Reviewing the effectiveness of processes performed in the hotel
  • Following up on audit results and the successful implementation of action plans in the hotel
  • Reviewing the processes and controls in the hotels
  • Communicating fraud and irregularities within the Kempinski group

Desired skills and abilities:

  • Work experience of minimum 5 years in Finance Department, out of which at least 3 years should be in a management level role
  • Hospitality or service industry background is a must
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills; additional languages are a plus
  • Confident, enthusiastic, demonstrating team spirit and enjoying liaising with people within and outside of the organisation
  • Excellent communication abilities and great interpersonal skills
  • Good time management and prioritising skills, mindful of deadlines, highly organised and ability to work under pressure
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for results and high quality output, thorough with an eye for continuous improvement
