Food & Beverage Management Trainee

To learn about the designated hotel as much as possible about an Pre-opening of a Kempinski Hotel through contributing actively in the development of the project with guidance of the F&B Director! That implicates writing and setting service standards set of Kempinski. To be responsible for the planning, organizing and controlling of operational and administrational duties.     

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that the restaurant outlets will have the outlet manuals ready and that the Managers establish a mission statement

  • At all times provide a professional, courteous, effective and flexible service according to Kempinski standards.

  • To assign and delegate responsibilities and projects to subordinates.

  • To work out the SOP’s with the F&B Director together

  • To work actively and independently on assigned projects

  • To work on the menus with the F&B Director

  • Feels obligated to ask questions!

  • To assist all new hire people to feel welcome

  • To establish a link to the Culinary Department

  • To actively participate and supervise trainings during Pre-opening

  • To control that the grooming is strictly adhered

  • To be a role model for all employees

  • Maintain high visibility during operational hours in order to ensure smooth operations

  • Promote good public relations, take corrective actions and handle customer complaints to ensure their satisfaction.

  • Identify, in conjunction with the Assistant F&B Director, market trends and needs, surveys competition, public relations activities and other promotional events designed to enhance the image and profitability of the outlet and hotel in general.

  • To establish good customer relationship and maintain guest database

  • Ensures the efficient liaison between the different Outlets in the hotel
