The overall scope of the job includes taking care all par stock, refreshments, general cleaning, re set-up the rooms, technical check and cashiering detail as well as guest service. Responsible for Minibar achievement and exceeding guest expectations

An impressive 100,000 square meters, the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai comprises of 391 luxuriously appointed rooms, of which 56 are exquisitely spacious suites. Surrounded by pristinely landscaped tropical gardens are eight highly appointed royal villas with stunning views of the Palm Lagoon. The hotel’s wide variety of international restaurants,  the Parisian-inspired Cinq Mondes Spa, boutique mall and cinema provide ample dining and entertainment attractions. With its opening in 2018, the hotel’s classical design will complement the Kempinski Residences and Hotel Apartments Palm Jumeirah, which has been developed in the same architectural style and is located on the adjacent plot.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Display excellent conversation skills and selling techniques at all times.
  • To assure that all minibar units are stocked as per Kempinski standards and checklists.
  • To check all the rooms daily for the minibar consumption and fills the minibar voucher accordingly.
  • To check the rooms which are due out early in the morning.
  • To forward the minibar vouchers to the front desk.
  • To cooperate with Housekeeping and Engineering.
  • To take information of the guests who have a special request and inform Room Service Manager accordingly.
  • To ensure that all minibar units are clean and working.
  • To ensure that the minibar trolleys and storerooms are clean and properly stocked as pars.
  • To requisition the minibar items from the stores as per recorded daily consumption.
  • Responsible fro checking the expire dates of the products.
  • To keep a healthy communication with the cost control.
  • To ensure that all complaints are personally dealt and reported to Room Service Manager in a timely manner.
  • To check all the minibar vouchers for accuracy.
  • To act in accordance with policies and procedures for security, health, fire and hygiene matters.
  • To respect guests privacy and confidentiality.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Secondary education
  • Experience in a similar F&B service role, preferably in a five star luxury hotel
  • English – very good oral and written skills
  • Additional language – beneficial
  • Excellent telecommunication skills, able to represent Kempinski to clients via telephone
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
